Inman Aligners at Stourcote Dental Practice
Stourcote Dental practice is pleased to offer another leading-edge cosmetic dentistry procedure – The Inman Aligner. This aligner system can help straighten teeth in a matter of weeks.
The Inman aligner is a great cost-effective device that can help straighten your teeth across the front arc of your top or bottom teeth. and visible results can often be seen in as little as nine weeks!
It’s a great choice vs fixed braces because it’s removable – so you can eat what you want when you want.
This discrete, cost-effective aligner works by straightening the visible front teeth. And because the Inman Aligner doesn’t treat every single tooth, it’s far more efficient than many other aligners – working much faster at a fraction of the cost.
The Inman Aligner uses a unique approach to straightening the visible front teeth. A pair of spring-loaded bars exert gentle straightening pressure to the front and back of teeth, effectively squeezing them into a more natural position. Inman Aligners use a discreet design that prevents the appliance from drawing attention during treatment.
Why would I need an Inman Aligner?
Until recently, straightening teeth meant long and sometimes expensive orthodontic treatments. The other way was to use more difficult restorative treatments such as veneers or crowns. Also, as people get older, crossed-over incisor teeth can occur and are often difficult to correct. But teeth corrections are a lot easier with an Inman Aligner.
How does the Inman aligner work?
Inman Aligners are removable orthodontic appliances that can realign teeth quickly. It works by straightening crowded or protruding teeth. It has spring-loaded aligner bars that will be carefully fitted to your teeth, and your teeth movement will be planned by our dentist to give you a smile you want. Because it works under gentle pressure, the treatment is safe and kind to teeth. Once the alignment has taken place a discrete retainer can be fitted to your teeth to make sure they stay in their new positions. It does not work on molars and is not designed to make corrections to these teeth
How long will my treatment take?
What is different aboutt this system is that the average treatment time is 9 – 16 weeks and you can start to see positive changes from 4 weeks of wearing the aligner. Your progress will be monitored closely by the dentist to ensure the treatment goes smoothly. You will need to wear it for 18 hours per day to get these results but because it is molded to fit your teeth there is no discomfort.
What does the treatment involve?
During the first consultation, an impression is made of the teeth we can even work with digital scans so create your aligner . In the second appointment, edges of teeth are smoothed to make room for movement and the aligner is fitted. While the treatment is ongoing the dentist will set up a regular schedule of appointments to review or adjust the aligner.
